Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions are set by The Steady Hostel to ensure the safety and comfort of every guest.  By booking a bed or a room with us, guests agree to our terms & conditions and house rules.

Check-in

​

  • Guests are required to show a valid photo ID, proof of travel and the credit card with which reservation was made. 

​

  • A credit card is needed at check-in for a security deposit of $50/per guest due at check-in. This amount shall be returned upon check-out, if no damages have been made and no other charges or fees have been incurred.

​

  • The Steady is a traveler's hostel.  We do not accept local residents living within the greater Los Angeles area.

​

  • Guests under the age of 18 are unable to be accommodated.

​

Beds

​

  • Only 1 guest per bed is allowed.

​

  • Guests are pre-assigned a bunk bed during check-in.  Guests are not permitted to switch to a different bunk bed during their stay, unless permission is granted by the hostel staff.

Length of Stay

​

  • Guests may stay for 14 consecutive nights per 90 days.  

​

  • There are no refunds for late arrivals, early departures, shortening of stays or no shows.

​

​

24-Hour Cancellation Policy

​

  • We know that travel under current circumstances is especially uncertain.  We have updated our cancellation policy so that guests may now cancel without penalty up to check-in time (3 pm PST) on the date of arrival.

​

  • Cancellations must be made through the same reservation channel through which the bed or room was originally booked, or you may reach out to us via email at info@thesteadyhostel.com.

​

  • All reservations must be paid in full at check-in.  Guests will not be refunded for any cancellations after check-in.  Deposit is non-refundable.  All reservations are non-transferable once paid.

Face Coverings and Social Distancing

​

  • Facial coverings are mandatory within the common areas (kitchen and living spaces, reception, hallways, etc.).  All guests and staff are required to practice social distancing (maintaining a minimum of 6 ft/2 m of distance).

Safety and Security​

​

  • The Steady Hostel will provide guests with access codes to the front entrance of the hostel.  These are changed regularly for security.  You are not allowed to share this code with anyone.​

​

  • The comfort and safety of all guests are important to The Steady Hostel and staff.  Any guest(s) who, in the opinion of our staff, compromise the comfort (odor, noise, etc.) or safety (harassment, aggressive behaviors, highly intoxicated, etc.) of other guests, staff, or local residents will be asked to leave the hostel premises and will not be given a refund.

  • Guests must be fully clothed within the dorm rooms and common areas.  

​

  • We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity.

  • Aggressive and inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.  We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.​

Personal Property

​

  • The Steady Hostel is not responsible or liable for any loss, theft or damage of guest property within the hostel premises.  Guests are allowed to use the provided lockers within the premises on a first come first serve basis.  Locks are not provided, but sold at the front desk.  It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure that their personal belongings are secure at all times.

  • Each belonging and/or belongings left after check-out without approval, equating the size of the standard domestic carry-on luggage size of 22" x 14" x 9" will incur $20 daily storage fee. Storage fee must be paid in order to retrieve items and/or items

Hostel Property

​

  • Guests must reimburse The Steady Hostel for any damage caused by disrupting behavior during their stay.  The hostel reserves the right to charge the guest for any damages to the property caused by the guest.  The amount charged will be decided by the hostel management.

Liability

​

  • The Steady Hostel is not responsible for personal injury as a result of any guest(s) behavior. 

​

Privacy

​

  • Your privacy is important to us.  The Steady Hostel may store and use information supplied by the guest(s), however, we will never disclose any personal information for the purpose of promoting our business, or to the benefit of any third party solicitation.

The Steady Hostel reserves the right to vary, amend and/or otherwise change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.​​​
